    Wrong size pipe problems

You'd think so, but in most house jobs up to about 3 storeys it's ladder access and no harnesses.

    Wrong size pipe problems

This discussion sprung to mind as I walked past a scaffolding yesterday, where the walkways were made up of horizontal tubes fixed to the uprights with 90 degree clamps, then boards laid across the horizontals. This means the entire walkway loading was taken vertically by the clamps. Every...

Simultaneous cues on ETC Ion running EOS

You  could but you don't need to. I've had shows where the cyc faded from the start of the show to the interval, and from the restart to the end as two continuous fades while all the other fades were going on without any need for effects, second cue stacks, macros or any other tricks. It just...

    Patch panel to light board

An alternative - if it is 0-10V - would be to get a demux and run a low cost DMX desk. Easier to move around and extend, then. But this does require that you can get access to the control wiring to the dimmers in the first place.

The use of AI in the entertainment industry

I guess create the topic, try it and see. It might gather great momentum. Or it could fall flat on its arse. Won't know until we try.

Creating Northern Lights/Aurora Borealis with limited resources

We're expecting them again this evening. I haven't processed my camera shots from last night yet, but here's one from my phone (SO's iPhone did a much better job than this)

    7/16-20 x 1.1/4" SHFH Bolts

Having gone through a number of thread sizes and pitches and angles we are indeed now pretty much settled on metric sizes. No more BA BSW BSF etc confusion.Edit: we've also had BSP pipe threads and I'm sure I've seen American coarse and fine too.

    7/16-20 x 1.1/4" SHFH Bolts

Whitworth - ah yes, often used on old motorcycles. Not sure about H-D, Indian etc but certainly found on old Brit iron of a certain age.

    Light up windows

I'd agree with tissue or perhaps even translucent fabric. We've done this in the past with a box behind the window, interior painted, and tape around the edges just pointing into the box. A few turns around the frame gives a reasonably even glow. One alternative we've used is instead of lighting...

    Gels

I found, after a show, that rather than labelling with chinagraph or even sharpie under the frame, someone had labelled in the centre of the gel with a ballpoint pen! Of course, they'd had to press quite hard, which left grooves in the gel. Which promptly burnt through.

Good luck. Keep it simple, I think.

Searching that group shows nothing, even changing the search phrase. Guess you have to join the group, first.

    Colortran Mini Ellipse

If you put the lamp designations into google you should be able to find a supplier nearer to you. There's a thread on here already about relamping these lanterns.

Creating Northern Lights/Aurora Borealis with limited resources

How is your Altman wired in terms of the "cells". What do you have available to control your lighting (console, dimmers etc)?I've done this sort of effect with LED battens and a slow pulsating intensity effect and a slowly changing colour effect. That would be my suggestion - gel up your...
