Wanted to share this out, maybe someone on here would be interested. This is my former job, in Melbourne, FL. It's what could be described as a typical HS Auditorium Manager position might be. There's a healthy rental schedule to supplement the theater supply and upgrade budget. There is are active drama and music programs and this role would also be responsible for training technical theater students to facilitate events and construct the sets for 2-3 mainstage productions per year. Equipment is all in good shape considering the age of the building (circa 1995). If you're interested, feel free to PM me and I can give you more information. Eau Gallie is a special place and I have enjoyed my time working here.

Yeah, it's not great for what the position involves. The long story short is after 2008, Florida schools stopped increasing wages and now are faced with the consequences of almost two decades of wage stagnation.

That said, it'd be a great position for a recent grad looking to hone experience with facility management and the various aspects of technical direction. The drama department is extremely healthy and there is a great group of technical theater students. It's a wonderful space to boot. As I said before, I did enjoy my time there and it was not an easy decision to leave.

The other downside would be residing in Florida. I prefer to live somewhere that education is a priority, not something to be drowned in a bathtub.

Good luck to the school district, I hope they find someone capable.
