Default Re: Profiles

With Color Changers on the Express, I generally find myself popping in to another page of subs and using that page to do my programming (setting values to subs so that I can quickly access strobe, dimmer, reset, etc without having to worry about the exact position of the fader, as I would if using channel faders). So for this fixture, say channel 2, would have a sub with the max value programmed to be 24 (63 converted to percentage) which I would label dimmer, a a sub with 37 (95 converted to percentage) as the max which would be my strobe fader. Then I usually keep a card of the specific ranges of shutter open and random strobe ranges at hand (usually on white gaff on the upper right side of the console). Colors are programmed in to the remaining subs as cues so that they latch. Makes for simple programming. for most things, pop dimmer to full or set a strobe value, pop a color bump button, and record the cue.

Basically, I hate the Express ML section. We've never gotten along.

I also like to have a reset sub that I can just mash the bump button for and the fixture will reset. So that'd be channel 3 at 32 (82 converted to percentage), and be the last sub on that page. Then I have one on the last sub of the last page of subs that resets the whole rig, if using multiple movers. Also, any scrollers are programmed at full to pull through the whole string and make sure that there are no issues there.
