We are starting to plan the stage for a 2-in-1 event in January called KAOS/RUSH. The theme this year is Twisted. The stage is about 40ft wide and 20 ft deep. The only big problem is the low ceilings...about 12 ft. There's a band that plays and brief talks. Videos are a big part of the event too.
I just heard the idea for the first time tonight so I have a lot of ideas running through my head of stuff to do for the set, projection, and lighting. It'd be great to hear some ideas. Just throw 'em out here.
Right now they are using 4 movers, 4 led pars, 2 Tracpods, plenty
FOH, and various white leds. For projectors I am pretty sure there are 4 of them. We have and are going to rent some more trusses.
I was thinking an industrial theme. Lots of metal and trusses. Yellow police beacons. Wooded packing crates. I thought it would be neat to have nothing really level...projection screens at an angle. Same with the trusses. I'd like the lights to be as least symmetrical as I can; more of a random design. Sorry I'm just throwing ideas out there. Any ideas?
