Attention all eligible voters/residents of Minneosta!

Governor Pawlenty has proposed a cut of Arts funding by 50%! Please send a letter to your legislators and tell them to block this action, and not to exceed the state average for government board funding cuts (10% in MN). You can use the Act Now! Page on the Minneosta Citizens for the Arts page to find your legislators and send them an e-mail or print out a letter to send to them via the postal service.

Never trust numbers. A common tactic is to say that the orginal budget was going to increase by say....a million dollars. But in reality the increase only goes to half a million. Then people go out and cry that the budget was slashed by half a million dollars, when in fact it rose by half a million.

Just saying that there's a big difference between was they say is cut and what the reality is.
