Open - Server reply/action failures/white screen

Platform: Windows Vista & Windows XP. Connection FIOS

Over the course of the last two months, I have noticed server choke, and server reply errors. These appear to occur irrelevant to location (home/work) or type of network. On several occasions, an actual “Server too busy” message would be returned. This evening, pages were simply lost. (White screen, refresh/retry, refresh/retry, final page delivery.) Symptoms appear to be server side, or server side ISP problems that are capacity related. Has there been a recent change of host servers? I say this as I don’t remember any of these problems occurring in the last few years. They appear confined to the last month or so.

No recent changes in equipment, ISP or software on this end.

Well although there have been some issues server side with load I don't recall ever seeing "white pages" that require the site to constantly be reloaded. Perhaps some other people might have some feed back as to if this happens to them also? Even during extremely high loads the page wouldn't just randomly be white (unless the page just doesn't completely load at all). So are these white pages while the sites still trying to load for you or does it say Done and it's completed the loading process?

I don't recall this happening before since at least 2005.

Funny you should mention this. Just happened to me also, when clicking "Submit Reply."

Im having issues when i load the site it doesn't automatically login until i click on a subforum and it automatically logs in.

I have that problem too, but only when not using my laptop (i.e. when using a school or work computer.)

But that might be another thread.

log out of ControlBooth.com, delete all of the cookies related to controlbooth.com and login again. I find it helpful to also delete any saved passwords from my browsers settings as well. (for firefox in particular)

I too have encountered the white screen of doom. Booth times it happened when I pressed submit for a post. Both times I went back and checked and the post submitted correctly but I was sent to the W.S.D.

I've had the white screen as well.
