Default Firefox 3.5.3 with Control Booth

I am having big trouble with Firefox 3.5.3 (and 3.5.2) and Control Booth. The browser will not remember my login info, and it often takes 3 or 4 tries of entering login info to get on.

Anyone else having this issue?

I'm not getting on any of my computers, all running 3.5.3. Have you tried clicking a link to one of the forums after logging in? Even though it doesn't look like it logged you in, it may still have done so. Try opening the lighting forum and you may see yourself magically logged in.

This problem has been going on for YEARS, and part of the reason I dropped off CB for months. When I long in with FF it accepts the log in, give the If your browser does not... and no matter if you wait or click on the link it APPREARS that you are not logged in, since it SAYS YOU ARE A GUEST, but if you then click on TODAYS POSTS (SINCE NEW POSTS DOES NOT SHOW UP) for instance, it will then on the next screen show you logged in, and THEN you select New posts. For MONTHS it would not log me in at all but now at least I can get in, granted in a sort of backwards way

Annoying but

Sharyn

That's the same thing for me, Sharyn. On my mac, everything works as expected. However, on my Ubuntu computer, it is all screwy. Both versions of FireFox are the same.

I'm fine in 3.5.3 on XP, and I do know what you guys are talking about. However on Ubuntu (Yes I'm a weirdo that uses Linux) it works fine.

In trying to figure out this error, I need to know if anyone is using any adblocking software on their firefox. I have the base install of firefox 3.5.3 and it works fine.

No ad blocker here, it is sort of weird as I said. Steps are:
Go to control booth site, log in, system accepts log in , get the screen where it say if your browser does not redirect you, if you wait OR if you click on the redirect, the next screen still shows Viewing as guest BUT if you then select todays posts it then brings up the correct logged in screen
No message re pop up blocked or anything, no indication of any error

+1 = me too although I'm not on Ubuntu. I did watch Hotel Rwanda at a Holiday Inn, once, tho.
