Solved - log in sequence error

I have noticed an odd sequence. When I go to the site, I am presented with the log in, the system accepts the login, gives me the splash page, but then returns me as though I am not logged in but if I then select new posts etc it works properly. everything works as it is just at first it is confusing

I am using opera 9.51 on winxp sp3

It's a bug on the front page, if you were to login at the forums, you wouldn't see that error. I'll look tonight to see if there is a fix. Probably a security token is missing from the form.

I consistently have the same login issue also, when entering through the main page. Enter my user name and password, get the "thanks for logging in" page, but the redirect goes back to the home page and says I'm not logged in.

Firefox browser on Windoze XP, SP 2 or 3, I'm not sure which. I only encounter this issue at work, because my bookmark at home is my user CP. This seems to bypass the issue.

Solved - log in sequence error

Most unfortunately not for all of us. I had this problem when this thread was opened, and it still persists. I'm using IE7 on Windows XP SP3.

I can go to any page and I'm recognized as being logged in, except the main page. At one point back in the dark distant past the main page worked, but alas, no more.....

(If you are unable to duplicate/solve the problem, I can live with it the way it is. I just wanted you to know it's still happening. For all I know a browser security setting got changed when I installed a security update or something)
