Solved - Donate Now link kills IE7

I have a Sony Vaio laptop running Windows XP SP3 with all critical updates. My browser is Internet Explorer 7.0.5730.13

I went to Windows Update and installed 21 critical updates (because I hadn't done it in a while - Hey, stop laughing! *shakes finger at you* ). I don't know if this has any bearing on the case or not.

Afterward, I clicked on Donate Now (so I could edit my signature to add a "please donate" line to it and include the link) and IE 7 crashed (you know, "this program has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." blah blah blah.)

Everywhere else I go on CB.com seems to work just fine. The problem seems to be on the Donate Now page.

I don't know if it's because I did the updates of because there is a glitch in the donate now script.

Yup, it does appear to kill IE7. (not that it's really a hard task :P ) But, I'll shoot a message over to the developer.

Think Firefox Phil. I was reluctant to try it but I'm SO happy I have converted now.

worked with the developer till 2am getting this sorted out. Turns out it was a javascript error related to server batch processing.

I installed Firefox and am ping-ponging back and forth between the two at the moment until I get Firefox to do everything IE7 does.

By the way, Is there an add-in for Firefox I can download to get the "Multi" button on each post to work?

No plugin needed. just hit the multi button on each post on want to have quoted in your post, then hit the reply button on the bottom left below the last post on the page.

The Multi button wasn't working because I installed Firefox version 2.0.0.12, but I've upgraded to version 3.0.1 and it (they) work fine now.
