Default Lighting Board

I am planning on building a custom lighting board. I have so many different pieces that I use that I thought it would be good to put them all together in one [heavy] console. Has anyone ever tried this?

I use Martin Light Jockey with dual monitors. I have a MIDI controller and a multiplex controller for the par lighting. I wanted to build the console so all of the pieces, including the computer, will fit together. I've seen and worked with plenty of lighting consoles so I think I can put this together. Any advice?

Thanks,
Tyler

Really, you are making a road case. Be sure screw/staple and glue everything. I would also suggest getting plastic to cover the wood (search for one of Van's post awhile ago, he said what to use). Remember, this thing is going to weigh a lot, so don't overbuild. I hope for your back you have LCD's for the monitors.

You're not the first person to mount LJ or HogPC into a console. http://www.martin.dk/forum/topic.asp...hTerms=project will show you some other people who have done this. Multiple monitors, building in a keyboard, the BCF2000 fader board, etc. Some are pretty cool. I've thought about it, but doing so takes away the ability to be able to work with it while travelling (such as on airplanes, in hotel rooms, etc.).
