Default Big Giant/Little Giantess

An interesting bit of street theater. Anyone else shudder slightly at the little girl riding on the giant's arm, about halfway through the pictures?

Meh, the girl knew what she was getting into.

That is not only is some awesome work, but also great photography. They had a great modern approach to design in the integration of the mechanics with the real life elements. I was amazed at the emotion that they were able to get out of both puppets. I am glad to see the art of large scale spectacle theatre is still alive.

If you are in any area that has a spectacle company, go see a show. It will change they way you look at theatre. When I was still in Illinois, we used to go see shows at Redmoon as much as possible, if you are in the Chicago area... GO SEE A SHOW!

There are companies like this all across the world. It is in spectacle theatre that Cirque has its roots. If you thought cirque shows were amazing in the way they are designed.... go see a spectacle show. It is amazing what people can do with stuff found in a junk yard.
