Yes avkid the Maglite is you friend, mostly the 3 or 4 D-cells.

For a while we were just putting them in these pizza box type cardboard box drawers. It was better than nothing, it kept things fairly neat. But you had to hold down all the boxes on top just to open a box or else all the boxes on top would come flying down. We recently just got a custom made gel cabinet made by the district wide auditorium facilitator. It's got tons of thin drawers with large footprints. On top it has an extra smooth surface ideal for cutting and prepping gels and its resistant to dents and cuts from blades and other tools. I don't think we have enough gels to fill it up yet, but it's a fantastic cabinet. I'll post a pic when I can.

We use folders in filing cabinets. One for ERS gels and one for Fresnel gels. We cut our gel as soon as we get it, to save time later on.

at any given time i will have at least one mini-mag on my person and at least one other in my gear bag, they are an absolute necessity!
