I've seen many different levels of oranization. but one good thing to keep in mind it Save Space. and from what i've seen, peg board is your friend. Hang all that you can on the pegs from gel frames to Mic cables.

Any different Ideas?

yea that is true cuz i know that we use them well try to use them with like our mic cables and extension cords but if they are not put back there then they are near imposible to find and it also helps with peg boards if you know how to properly coil a cord which most rookies and some other crew dont know how grrrr

The middle school that i had worked for just balled up the cords and threw them in the booth. That makes me very mad. those cords are really expensive.

In the booth at my school, we have a bunch of drawers along the back wall for mic cables, mics, beltpacks, headsets, tools, tape, adapters, batteries, old stuff that we could make work if we have the time, old stuff that we couldn't make work if we had the time, a file of old scripts and tech plots, and a few other random things. I also made a rack on the wall for all of the mic stands.

I guess it depends on what works for your. As the saying goes, If it ain't broke don't fix it. Just one problem with all of these. They need space. And space I don't have. Literally a 2x2m space in a chair store. It forces you to put things wherever they will fit. Did I mention that that is the operating space as well? I guess there is a small advantage in having next to no equipment.

I agree with you on the pegs we put all our cords on pegs. I never thought to put gel holders on the pegs I think I will do that. One thing that I like is we have a file cabinet in the tec booth we keep CD, remotes, papers, and other stuff so it dose not have to sit on the counter. It keeps the booth very clean.

You can only be as organized as the people working with you. Like nez said, we have problems keeping our cage clean. At the moment, you cant even get into it yet alone find something there. As for keeping organized? My favorite way is hide everything good once you know that it actually works so noone else can screw with it, and if they need it they can ask. ESP mic cables, mics, and other random expensive things that are easily screwed up. That way to you know that someone who has a clue is useing it or you can make sure that they will know and show em'.

You can't lock the place up when it's tidy?
