Default Storing Power adapters?

This is a big problem where I work. We have a lot of equipment (receivers for wireless mics, etc.) that we have to pack up and store after every time we use the equipment. (This is because we have our sound desk FOH) We can't leave the receivers out or someone will take them.
My question is this:
What is the easiest way to store power supplies for this equipment so that the supplies don't get all tangled and in a mess?

We leave everything in the original packaging when not in use. I'd say make little coils with the cables and put them in your cage.

We keep our receivers in one of two road racks. That way, you just have to snap the back and front shut, and viola! Safe. The only problem is to use one or two you still have to lug out a 40lb case...

For the two receivers that are not in a rack, we keep them in a suitcase with the microphones and body packs. We use these Mini Cable Clamps on the cords. The mini ones should be available at your local hardware store for about 20 cents each. (I've seen them at Menards and Fleet 'n Farm - if you're in the midwest.) For being only 20 cents, they are pretty durable and strong. (I can step on them and they don't break.)

I completely forgot about cable clamps. We have some for extension cords (along with tieline on some) and I always wondered what those tiny clamps could be used for.

I think a cool storage idea for wall-wart type adapters would be to take old surge protectors that no longer work, cut the cords off and mount them to the wall. Then just wrap the adapter cords into bows and plug them into the strip. If the adapters are labeled as to what they go to, even better.

Our Audio Sup bought a bunch of skinny velcro straps and uses those to keep his cable orderly. Though I personally stick to tie line for my cable.

I think that's a pretty cool idea! I always "halve" my cords when storing them. Bring the plug end of the cord back up to where it comes out of the device , effectively halving the cord, then do it again, ( depending on the length of cable may take several halves) then tie the resulting bundle into a loose half hitch.
This is how I store my tools in the shop as well. The idea of a de-plugged powerstrip is pretty cool.

I second the road case method. We leave ours plugged in to road cases, and then all the power adapters in the road cases are plugged in to plug locks that are attached to the inside back of the case. That way, cable mess is not an issue, because you only have at most 2 power cables that actually need to be plugged in, and the rest stays hidden inside.
