Default Storing audio adapters and cables

So we are trying to organize all of our stuff and we have places for all of our power cables and our xlr and speaker cables, but we have multiple odd cables left over (1/4 to XLR, RCA to 1/4, etc) as well as many adapters of the same sort. I'd like a storage solution where I can easily find the specific cable I need, but I don't have everything laying out taking up tons of space. If it could be portable, that would be great, but that's not mandatory. Any suggestions?

These are great, either on a wall or inside a cabinet. Generically known as Test Lead Holders.

We have some old pegboard mounted on two of our walls in our storage rooms for small cords. Just neatly wind it up, throw a Cable Clamp on it, and hang. For large cables (10/12 AWG Elecrical cord, heavy duty speaker cord, Snakes) We have 2x4s mounted on the walls with Garage Utility Storage Brackets screwed to them.

We're organizing everything this summer and for smaller cables we have this shelf in our dimming closet that has holes in the support so with 2 nuts and a long bolt we have about 8 prongs sticking out on one side of it and the cable sit perfectly on them.
