Asbestos

Naturally occurring mineral used as electrical insulation and as a fire retardant insulator. Considered a health hazard by various governmental agencies because of its carcinogenic properties. Most commonly used in the theatre as a Fire Safety Curtain, and as insulation on fixture whips (see this thread: http://www.controlbooth.com/forums/l...l-911-not.html ).
