Element

1. In the context of a wireless microphone system; the part of the mic system that actually picks up the sound. The mic element in plugged into a transmitter that sends the signal via radio waves to a receiver that decodes the signal.

2. A new variant of the ETC Eos/Ion console family introduced at USITT in March 2009 and aimed at the former Express market. Likely of great interest to CB'ers.
