ambivalent colors

Those colors that we're not sure we like.

Alternatively, certain hues that have the ability to appear either warm or cool, depending on the color they are paired with. For example: Special Lavender, when paired with Light Amber, will seem cool; when paired with Steel Blue, will appear warm.
