Blackout Curtain

A Blackout Curtain is a full stage black curtain used to fully mask anything that is upstage of the curtain. Blackout curtains are often referred to using the acronym: BOC

BOCs are quite often used just upstage of a painted scrim, and are flown out just before the dissolve effect happens.
