Default armature

1. Skeleton or substructure, such as made by welding pieces of reinforcing rod together to form the trunk and branches of a tree that's eventually covered by a "skin" of fiberglass or papier mache.

2. The part of an electric motor that actually does the work: if it moves, the rotor; if it's stationary, the stator.
