disconnect

1. To un-attach or unplug.
2. Short for "Disconnect Switch," (aka "bull switch") an electrical enclosure containing fuses or a circuit breaker for the purpose of locally removing power to a system. Similar to a Company Switch.

3. The chasm that exists occasionally between director and designer, acties and technicians, or teenagers and parental units.
