pipe stiffener

Piece of stage rigging hardware resembling a side arm, but used to prevent a pipe batten from rolling in its lift chains when lighting fixtures are roostered.

Pipe stiffener(s) are not necessary if batten clamps are used as proper connection to a counterweight fly system's lift lines.
