Default Mylar

A Trade Mark of the DuPont Corporation Mylar often used as a generic name for aluminized Biaxially-oriented polyethylene terephthalate (boPET). The silver or gold base color of mylar is created by evaporating a thin coating of Aluminum onto the surface of this specialized Polyethylene sheet material. Some of the most common applications of Mylar in Theatre include Slit Drapes, Mirrors, Prop decorations and costuming.
