Zoom

An ellipsoidal reflector spotlight having a variable focal length, often 15°-30°, and 25°-50°. Zoom Profile Spots (ERSs) are much more popular in Europe than in the US.

Also a functional of most higher-end hard-edged moving lights, often expressed as a ratio (4:1 zoom).

A popular TV show for pre-teens in the 1990s, produced by Boston PBS affiliate WGBH, Boston, Mass, 02134.
