LD Assistant & Hog 3pc

Hi all! Hope everyone's holiday's were great!

I have been tasked with doing some pre-visualization for an upcoming show using Hog 3pc and LD Assistant. I can't figure out how to get the two to communicate?!?!? I had no problems using Hog 3pc with Wysiwyg... Is anyone familier with LD Assistant and its dmx protocol? Do I need artnet or what? I am so confused and thought I would reach out to this forum. Thanks!

I believe you need to use artnet.

Any idea what sACN is?? I was hoping to just connect on the same network instead of going the Artnet route...

If you are on a hog iii you need to set the output to artnet, sACN is for the ETC consoles.

Another question, would the dp-8000 be what I need? Or the dp-2000? Or is there any generic artnet router thing we could buy? I'm still a bit confused on this whole artnet thing..

And also, I would be using Hog3pc, not a console
