    Default Colortran Prestige 2000

Hi everyone, We were given a Colortran Prestige 2000 quite a few years ago that we currently use in our TV studio to control our studio lights at our high school. It was used in our PAC and was passed down to us from our Stage Craft department. Unfortunately the only thing that was given to us that came with the board was the power cable and the cable to the dimmer rack.

Our problem that we have is that it didn't come with a monitor so for years the only way (that we know of) to activate all of the studio lights is by pressing STAGE>1-50>AT>FULL>ENTER and STAGE>1-50>AT>0>ENTER to turn them off. We only have 30 lights in the studio and we have to enter 50 on the board or all off them will not turn on or shut off (We used to be able to enter 25 until someone pressed something wrong). We really haven't been able to use the board other than turning the lights on and off because we are worried that if we enter something wrong we may mess up something else.

We had attempted to used a 9-pin to 15-pin VGA adapter but we have been unsuccessful to get it to work. We are hoping to get a 9-pin monochrome monitor but I was wondering if anyone has or knows if there is a user manual available for the light board?

    Thanks,
    Alex

You did well to get stuff on and off with no monitor.

If memory serves, it used a CGA monitor. The Prestige 2000 was color, the 1000 was monochrome. I'd look around e-bay/craigslist etc...

If you can't find any, a good resource for all things Colortran, including monitors is LiteTrol Service in Hicksville, NY. Steve Short runs the company, been doing it for 35 years or so and knows more about Colortran stuff then Colortran does. he fixes them, has manuals and even has a few consoles around, so has parts.

I have the users manual, PM me with your email address and I will email a pdf copy.

I use a Commodore type 75BM13 monitor with mine but any TTL or as mentioned above CGA monitor should work

    Hi there,

I'm also working in a space with a prestige console, I would appreciate a PDF of that manual as well if you're willing to share it.

    Thanks,
