Fiber Optic Instruments ?

I'm looking for some really small instruments. Currently playing with some Chauvet ColorDASH Accents. Still a bigger instrument than I'd like (and a lot of rainbowing). Has anyone done remote stuff using fiber? EG, put larger instruments out of the way somewhere and run fiber to some type of fiber instrument? Though a focused beam with shutters would be nice, I'd be quite happy with a softer edge beam and a few options of beam angle.

I just ordered a few varieties of these and some fiber to play with:

I'm also wondering if with the multiple fibers I can mix up the colors of an RBG instrument better to eliminate the rainbowing.

I'm not sure if these suit your application but Martin has a line of Fibre Optic illuminators.

I've never seen fibre large enough to support shuttering beams. Seems to me it would take some sort of concentrator. A buddy of mine does concentrator work like this for routing solar lighting into buildings but he's not trying to do focused beams.
