    Default Vectorworks Help

So I just downloaded the student version of vectorworks. However I have no idea how to do anything let alone find how to place any fixtures. Does any one know of a website or anything that will help get me started?

    VectorWorks Tutorials for Theatre

Try this tutorial. A couple versions old, but the skills will still apply.

This is off the top of my head without a copy of VW near me to confirm if these are completely right....but:

    *Open up your resource browser
*Click one of the grey arrows and either "browse a document" or "Add new favorite files"(my recommendation)
*(In the VW 2011 File folders) select "Libraries", and then "Objects Entertainment" and voila, there's all of the companies folders, just select the ones you want.

Similarly, to find gobos, follow the same steps and select "Textures Gobos" after Libraries.

Light Plot Deconstructed is a fantastic way to get started drafting VW plots. I got a copy after downloading VW and I can't recommend it highly enough.
