Default Chauvet Obey 30/40 and SlimPar 56 .. Help

    Hi
    Another newbie here.

I will admit I am a complete beginner with regards to Mood lighting/Up lighting.
    I have purchased a Obey 30 and 40 along with 4 SlimPar 56.

How do i set it up. At the moment I just want static colours that I can just change with the use of the Fader.....

Again I am sorry. I have no clue. DMX is alien to me. I have read both manuels, plugged in but nothing.
What does the Slimpar have to say on the back ??

    Many Thanks
    Simon

    Simon,

You need to "address" your Slim Pars so that they match the address you are using on the Obey. Most people forget to choose a "fixture" on the Obey consoles. Try pressing the Fixture #1 button and see if it responds. Often, one fader will then control the intensity of the light, another will change the color, etc. You may have three channels for color: red, green, and blue. It depends on the fixture and its settings.
