Default CNC Machined Labels for Dimmer Plates, Who makes them?

    Hi All,

Just looking for anyone who might know a good online company to order custom made cnc machined plae/labels that you would find at a socco box or dimmer raceway that labels what dimmers.
We had some socco installed/labelled wrong at our theater, and now that it's been fixed we are looking to get matching plates with the correct dimmer numbers instead of gaff tape. Something on a 3"x5" plate that says:

    A 467
    B 468
    C 469
    D 470
    E 471
    F 472

Wanted to know if anyone knew a good online company I could just send specs, materials and font style to and get a proof and then order from.

    Thanks.

    coolsvens, where is "A,A"?

I'm guessing you're talking about plastic "Dyna-Groove" signs/labels? It probably won't match what you have, but I was always impressed by the signs that Production Arts used. They were back-engraved and color-filled. STEVETERRY will know if that company is still in business.
Good authors too who once knew better words, Now only use four letter words, Writing prose.

PRG New Jersey has (or had) a very advanced computer engraving system. I suggest you email Gardiner Cleaves (gardiner.cleaves@prg.com) to see if they still offer that service.

Don't make this harder than you need to. Just call your local trophy store and have them make something for you. They can engrave or print on a variety of metals and plastics, in different sizes, and fonts.

I would try the local trophy shop or local electrical panel builders they have the machine to do it.

If you are at a college your engineering/maintenance department might even have the proper sign engraving machine.
One must first know and understand the rules of theatre before one can break them.

If you're school has a shop class, they might have a CNC machine that could do this if you provide the stock. Where does one buy white plastic with black paint on top for this?

Thanks All. I ended up going to a trophy store down the street. They were pretty friendly and I'm getting a few extra plates made. Averaged out to about $10/plate which I don't think is to bad for convenience.
