Default MC 24/48 - Memory bug?

On a NSI MC24/48 console, I just recorded a certain look to cue 5, and noticed that it was also recorded to group 2. I never told the console to do this. I brought up multiple other channels, and recorded group 5 again, with the same result. What's going on?

There might have been an accidental assignment to group two. What I would do is save all of your cues (or at least write them down), and clear all groups, and start recording over. Press: Setup--> more (soft key) -->Clear-->2-->1 to confirm. If this doesn't work, there may be a memory corruption. In this case, save all board memory to a 3.5'' floppy. Then reset the board by turning it off, then back on while holding the "clear" key. Reload your memory (with cues, if you saved them) and continue regularly. I hope everything works out okay. Also, if having different cues in groups doesn't effect running a show, I'd just leave it.

What do you mean by that?

A random keystroke (like you hit something by accident) or a glitch.

It would seem to have been a memory error. I hard reset the console, and the problem seems to have disappeared.

That's good. Have you tried re-recording any cues? (Or recording new cues, for that matter?)

I recorded one or two new cues but didn't notice any issues.
