Hey there having some problems patching movers and LED par cans on the Strand 300, Can someone please tell me how to do this??
I've got a fixture profile but i'm stuck from there on i know you have to press the [PATCH] button. . . could someone please tell me how to patch a mover with attributes? like i said i've got the profile for it Thanks guys, ~Ash~ |

Have you installed the profile or do you have it on a disk?
With the profile in the fixture library, all you have to do is go to the patch screen and press: XXX[@]YYY{@FIXT}ZZZ[*] where XXX is the DMX start address of the fixture, YYY is the channel you want it at, and ZZZ is the fixture profile number. If you have not installed the profile, let me know I can help with that too.

erm i've installed it i think, basically want to make a new show,
by the way how do you do that? theres a way you can do it by pressing something and then hitting 'q' on te keyboard? anyway yeh want to patch two moving heads (they're source 150 spot profiles) |

I don't know what number the fixture profile is under. . . is there a way to bring up the library? or find out what the different fixtures profile numbers are?
thanks ~Ash~ |

You can bring up the fixture library in the notes viewer. [MORE]{NOTES}. Then there should be a softkey that is something like open or load file, and then you will see an option for FIXT LIB. Open that and scroll through it until you find the fixture you are looking for. It's number will be in []. Then go back to patch and patch as I said before.

Brilliant! thank you very much mate!
Have you any idea about starting a new show by pressing something followed by repetitively pressing 'q'? saw it done a couple of days back but never thought to ask thanks, ~Ash~ |

Just realized. . .Would he be doing a 220clean?
Some seperate questions now. . . How can i unpatch or "delete" fixtures that are patched as attributes? also when doing a 220clean, if i want to load just the dimmer patch settings how would i do this? thanks, |
|

No, 220clean is a utility for cleaning out corrupt files or cleaning up after a console crash. It can only be run from DOS mode and can delete all of your show files, so you should make sure that you really know what you are doing before you use it.
Quote:
The 220clean has nothing to do with loading any files. If you want to load the patch from an old show file you can do that from the ARCHIVE screen. Just select only the patch as opposed to "Whole Show" under what to Save/Load.
