Yes, Colortran sued ETC back in the 90's for patent infringement on the C-Tran ENR dimming system. A system designed for C-Tran by David Cunningham who also sold the rights to ETC for the Sensor system. Obviously the contract C-Tran had with Cunningham wasn't as solid as they thought as they lost the suit.
