Does anyone have any info on the Stone ML controllers.Has anyone used one.
They are made in China, look just like an AVO- exactly like an AVO, in fact one company's controller, from China, even says AVOLITES Pearl TIGER on it. In appearance, it matches the AVO console in every detail.Priced 1/2 as much as an AVO, and there rep says it is an AVO and they are the OEM. Some of the marketers of these products, in China are- Deliya, another is Guoda, and the one that says Avolites Pearl Tiger is Gaugzhou 3e Electric Very confusing, what do you guys think. I dont think theyre the OEM for avo. I think they copied the AVO and stole the software. I have heard that avo is trying to shut them all down. I would love to get a real avo and one of these side by side...

One of the major manufacturers of these consoles is Neo-Neon. If you look in the back of their Entertainment catalogue (if you have one available), they are listed somewhere around 530 if I'm not mistaken.
Neo-Neon is taking a significant amount of heat over the move to copy the Avo consoles. I've never been a fan of them as I'm a Hog 3 user, but if you want one of the chinese ripoffs that are supposedly identical, I'd suggest hurrying up and grabbing them before tiem runs out of them as they will surely be discontinued soon. another note is that Neo-Neon doesn't necessarily make the most durable of items. You won't find P&G faders on them or Cheery buttons. It'll be OEM parts made by Neo-Neon themselves. Just be careful. If you're going to spend $10K+ on a console, you might as well just get a used hog iPC or Full Boar. |

They don't copy the Elation controllers, Neo-Neon makes them for elation.

Here's the brilliance I was talking about with the XLR connectors: NEW SUNNY512-II|Computer Light Controller|Products| Are they also OEM for SGM's lower end controllers?: http://guodalight.com/program/channe...e=2&nowPage=6# http://www.sgmtechnologyforlighting....id=153&m_id=53

Actually, I think you're right. It's quite possible that this company is ripping off one of the worst product designs ever (at least when it comes to elation and SGM).
I've never been a fan of the SGM consoles. Especially since every fixture SGM makes can be tracked back to other manufacturers and you're just paying for the SGM name. Similar to Martin, except Martin makes their own gear. Neo-Neon does make models that look identical to that, but I can't say as a fact that it is the Neo-Neon models of the things rather than their own. I think that more likely than not, they are Neo-Neon. I only say that because it doesn't even look like Guoda Light makes their own gear. If they did, I'm sure they would know to call them something other than "Computer lights" :P |
