Default Wybron Forerunner Color Scroller Help!!!!

Hello All!

I'm working with 2 Wybron Forerunner Gel Scrollers but I'm in a spot of trouble.
Situation: Can get the scrollers to actually scroll

Heres What I've Done: I am using an ETC Express 125 Lighting Console.
The board is set a 1-1 patch and the DMX cable is plugged in, the board is functioning and has had all functions from the previous show cleared.
I have one DMX cable going from 1-512 to wall DMX hook-in.
I have one DMX cable running from the 512-X to the gel scroller, the scroller and the board are both powered on.
I really can't figure out how to get the scroller to actually change color, so i set up a link as described in the manual and nothing happened. When i place my hand on the track pad nothing happens. The scroller remained stagnant

This is exactly what i did in creating the linkplease see http://www.etcconnect.com/docs/docs_...ser_Manual.pdf) Page 237-241

[Setup] [1][1] [Enter]
[S7], Link List
[1][Enter]
[1] [->]
[1] [1] [->]
[0] [->]

and set up the link using channels 11 and 1, then i hit [Stage] [1] and move my finger from the lower left corner of the track pad to the upper right corner and the scroller just sits there.
So what do i need to change? Do i need to patch something? or change the setting.

Thanks

Express Boards prefer to think in dimmers and EDMX address rather than just in channels. If I understand correctly, you have the PSU running to the DMX Universe 2 (For EDMX addresses 513-1024) and your scrollers are addressed to an address in the range of 1-512. The fix is to simply go to [Patch] and patch whatever channel(s) you have your scrollers addressed to and patch those channels to dimmers in the range of 513-1024. That will tell the board that the information you are sending out of the board will go out of the second universe and therefore to your PSU and scrollers.

Yes and no. EDMX is ETC's new(ish) communication protocol that sends DMX data over TCP/IP to Sensor+ Dimmers.

However, Spader is correct about outputs and addressing. Using the 513-1024 output is probably the easiest way to do things, but you have to make sure that the output is enabled (in SETUP) and you have to make sure that it is set to 513-1024. You need to have your scrollers addressed to 1 and 2 (I am less familiar with the Forerunner series, but I believe this is set on the scroller itself). Then in patch, the scrollers would equate to dimmers 513 and 514, and you can patch them to whatever control channel you want.

The link function does work for scrollers, but you have to link 2 channels. So, as said above, you must patch the scrollers before you link them.
