Default Replacement Fan For Lycian 1271 Follow Spot

We've got a group coming in a few weeks that want to use all four of our follow spots. We have two spots in the booth, which are in working order (mostly) .

We have 4 Lycian 1271, two have not been used since they were purchased for our theater. One of the spots is missing the rear fan (the one below the lamp). I don't have time right now to remove a fan just to look at the numbers. I was hoping that someone on the forum was familiar enough with these spots, to be able to what type of fan I need, and where to get it.

Thanks

We love people to think of CB as their first source for information but sometimes it's a lot easier to go straight to the manufacturer.

I went to Lycian.com. On the product page I found this link to the part's list for the 1275.

Looks like item 47 on the diagram is Lycian part#120640 a 70 cfm fan

This page lists all their local distributors to order from.

Sorry I don't know if another fan will work. I see Lycian doesn't have a distributor in Iowa. Look in your P.M. for my recommendation for a national dealer to take care of you.

Unlikely, computer fans run on 12v DC, the fans in followspots usually run on 120v AC.

Thank you that was what I needed to back me up, when I say that we need to get the lycian one.

Chances are you can replace the fan. You just need to pull it out and figure out what kind of fan it is. It should have a label that tells you the voltage, RPMs, Amperage, and CFM. Armed with that information you should be able to go to someplace like Grainger and find an equivalent fan.
