Default Selling lenses

This isn't a sales pitch, but more of a question which will hopefully help me out when I go get ready to sell some things on eBay.

I have about 15-20 lenses out of Altman 65Q Fresnels. The ones I have are the older type ( somewhat wider spaced rings and bigger bullseye) but are free of chips and cracks. What do you think the value would be per lens? I was thinking around $10.

I also have about 8 x 5 5/8 roundels. Some plain and some spread, various colors. In perfect condition, what do you think those would sell for?

Lastly, I have a TON (well, a pile of about 40-50) of c-clamps. Mostly Altman, but also a few Grand (not dnarG), one mega-clamp, some of the Altman "Heavy Duty" clamps, a few that look Altman but have no name, and also one really cool "Little" clamp. It is about the size and look of an Altman Heavy Duty but is aluminum and has a declared SWL of around 250# or so.
What would you charge per clamp, or per lot of 4 or so?

...Afterthought... Is there a market for 65Q shells, yokes and colorframe holders, or should I just look at scrapping them out? I have like 13 or so. They would need to be repainted and of course furnished with the lamp/reflector assembly and lens (OR your favorite lamp shade) to be usable.

Again, I'm not trying to sell these right now, but I am going to be listing them on ebay within the next few weeks. Right now I'm just trying to get an idea of what it's all worth.

I'd keep the roundels myself they are getting harder to come by.

And I'd keep a few of the fresnel lenses around at least, what if one of yours breaks?

Would you not get more for the shels, lenses, yokes and gelframes sold as a complete unit than selling spares?

From a friend who sells things for a living on E-bay. Break it into parts as Les is mentioning is listing it, not as a whole unit. If the buyer wants the whole thing they will buy all of the pieces.
Which is how you do it if you are trying to make money. Otherwise convenience says sell the pieces as a unit.

Yep! Also, the reason I'm not selling them as complete units is because the bases and lenses were burned up when I acquired them. The base/reflector assemblies go for around $50 each on Production Advantage so it would not be worth it for me to fix them. I have 3 complete and usable 65Q's (old and brown) that I will be listing as complete units. I am keeping my last 4, which are newer, so I may keep a couple of the lenses as spares. As for the roundels, I have 45 on the way, which I am planning on keeping. Got them on ebay for $100. Woot!

Such a post I think really well put and very valid - thanks for showing the way in doing so in listing such a sale to the market that's interested without making it a for sale listing persay here in a place not set up for resale.

Me, I got boxes of 360Q lenses and parts - mostly the mid to narrower throw versions some day I might try to remove from stock also in a simlar way. A shame I'm all lensed up for Fresnels at the moment. Wonder if for PAR 56 in size, if such a lens might be similar to something used in a ciling can way for recessed cans also as an option to list as? Walked into many doctor's office that had similar lenses on their cans but doubtful granted there is a large market for such an application. Got enough of them perhaps servingwear plates otherwise? Think of the Fresnel lens for serving dinner... perhaps not in slopping over the sides, still though hope luck on getting them gone.

Thanks Ship! I will try out your marketing ideas as well. I have also seen many a fresnel lens in commercial recessed cans.
