I am using 11 Wall Washers in my show and I ordered DMX cable with them. The cable only contains 2 wires, a solid blue and white with blue dots. How do I tell which one is the positive and which one is the negative. Also, I thought when running dmx/XLR, you use 3 wires...
Thanks Sloanhaus |

Does the cable have a shield? Braided or spiral wrapped?

Yes it has a shield and it is braided. The outer color is grey. Thanks |

The shield is your third conductor.
As long as you are consistant with the color code, it make no difference which conductor (blue or blue with white dots) is the plus or minus.

On my wallwasher their is a place for -, + , and shield, do I need to take some of the shield and screw it down to the shield terminal.

Yes, that would be the place for it.
