Default Allright old timers...

What is this light?

Sorry for the poor quality image, best I could do. For scale sake I would say it is about 3' tall.

It's an old Century-Strand - one of the other high schools in the district had a few of those (we only had the smaller ones with 6" lenses, still same series). Said high school also had an original Century dimming system with car-shifter size dimming handles (I wish I had a picture of that system for posterity's sake!)

I still have a six pack of out dimmers like you are talking about, auto transformers. It is small for that world. I learned on this style board, broom stick and all.

Are those the Leko's that are around 3' or so tall?

And I've used a Luxtrol board like that before. Fun stuff.

The Photometrics Handbook says it's a Century Strand 2457 or 2567.

If it is, it had to have been built between 1969-1976, as that's only how long that iteration of the name was used.

I think Icewolf08 has one of these in his greenroom, but I can't find the picture.

That would make sense. The fixtures and dimmers at the high school where I saw them are both Century-Strand. The same series fixtures (as I said, 6" ones, not the larger 8" or whatever size the lenses are on those) were installed in my high school, along with the same dimmers. Everything said Century-Strand.

High school was build in the early 70s (1972, I think?), so that fits the name timeline nicely.
