Enttec Open USB
So I recently purchased an Enttec Open USB DMX and I've been playing around with MagicQ. Everything works fine except the DMX seems to drop for a split second every 20 seconds or so. I know the Enttec pro does its own on board processing so I assume that would have something to do with it. Has anyone else encountered this problem and created any sort of solution that doesn't involve spending more money?

Your stuck with it. The cheap open USB is entended for bench use only, they did not make it to run shows with. If you want to actually use it, buy the real unit. You can try switching USB ports or machines, it could help. Otherwise, your stuck.

Also, you may need to go into your computer's device manager and turn off power management for your USB ports.

Thr pro works alot better, I have done a few shows with Chamsys using it and have had no problems.
