Another oddity: the Control Module could drive up to 24 dimmers. Every other pack could be "dumb," containing an expansion module connected to the main with a DB-25 cable.

Also while we're at it, a standard D192 pack may not accept DMX512, just Colortran CMX. DMX512 required the crystal to be changed to 4 MHz, and one resistor to be changed to another value. However, don't ask me which resistor or what value. I invented the mod, but it's been 24 years, and those brain cells ( and the schematic) are long gone!
