The board is so close to the wall that it's both at the wall end and the board end.

I would buy one A6F and one A6M. Cut the existing cable 3' from one end. Solder the A6M to the 3' piece. Solder the A6F to the 22' piece. This gives you the option of easily restoring the cable should you ever need it. About $20 in parts plus fifteen minutes labor and you're done.
Just a thought.

I have the same problem, but the total opposite. I have about a 6 foot cable, and I need a longer one. Wanna trade?? ha
