Hi! I'm doing my final year project and its about energy saving for the house. so i will make a motion sensor that it will transmit signal to a dimmer which it will be connected to the PC , and when it sense no motion in the room to switch off the lights. So if anyone has an idea how to connect the dimmer to the PC or anything about the project pls let me know!! Thank you very much!!

This is one of those times when I have to ask: Why are you reinventing the wheel? This type of technology has existed for years and is available at your local hardware store. The most common sensors you see are like this one:
where the sensor is just built into the light switch, and you wire it up just like you wire up a light switch. no need for dimmers, computers, or anything. Why overcomplicate, this is a much easier solution for domestic use.

if you are manufacturing the whole thing then I might suggest www.qkits.com they have a large selection of electronic projects. and dimmer projects, and DMX interfaces, and all that sort of stuff.
