Any suggestions on what color(s) would work best to make it look like the sun is rising in the morning. I was thinking orange but wanted hear what others have used.

And more info than 'Cyc or front light' is needed. What color is the sunrise in the show that you are lighting.
The color I would use for a sunrise would depend in part on these kinds of questions. (Lots of other questions as well - but let's start small). The key is you are not 'Lighting a generic sunrise' you are lighting the sunrise for this specific show. Think about what that should look like in your mind. Nail all of the details you can. Once you do this, picking a color is easy.
