Default Setting up a "Template" in VW

So the last show I drafted in VW (2010 if it matters) was a really big and prominent show (well, by my standards anyways), so I spent a long time working with Classes to make it exactly the way I wanted. Now I'm starting another plot for a different show, and I'd like to keep the same basic setup in my new show. Is there a way to export all the Classes data and then import it into a new VW file? i guess I could just save the old plot under a new name and delete everything except the classes, but I'd much rather start with a clean slate and not have old settings/data still hanging around from the old show. Any ideas?

Well, you will have to go in and delete all of your instruments....but that is easy to do.

Make sure everything is deselected, go to modify->find and modify->instruments whose ->selected status-> = False and then select the "Just delete them" option and hit ok. Make sure you also delete all of your templates.

Double check the plot to clean up any loose ends.

File -> Save As Template -> name it and select ok.

To reopen that template, File -> New -> Use Document Template -> Find it in the drop down box. Any time you save, you need to put in your document name and it saves it as a new file, and doesn't change the template. The only way you could possibly change your template is to "Save as Template" again. I've got templates set up with every space I work in.

Awesome, thanks! And thanks for the idea about making templates for different spaces, I'll definitely do that.
