We have a Zercros 1812 lighting desk and we would like to access a manual for it, or have some one explain the 'fader' and 'chase' functions. I'm not really a techie but i do know how to read a manual and follow logically.

Well, www.zercros.com, which is what google returns doesn't come up.
I can explain to you a chase and a fade though. Fade- Let's say you have a fixture whose intensity is at 75%. You need it to come down to 25%. You have a couple options - with no fade, just drop it straight there - very abrupt. When something is faded, that change from 75% to 25% will happen gradually over a period of time you specify. If you say 5 seconds, 10% light output drop per second in this scenario. Chase- You ahve a pipe below with 5 fixtures on it: ===A===B===C===D===E=== In a simple chase, this would be hte sequence of events: Light A on Light A off Light B on Light B off Light C on Light C off Light D on Light D off Light E on Light E off Light A on Light A off Light B on Light B off Light C on Light C off Light D on Light D off Light E on Light E off etc Visually, the light chases from left to right. |
