I'm wondering if anyone can help me with the lit fog feature in VectorWorks 12.0. I know I can enable lit fog if I insert a light object from the visualization toolbar, and I also know I need to apply a RenderWorks lit fog background to the design layer I'm using. What I don't know is how to use the lit fog feature with lighting instrument objects. I have been able to use the feature in the past but for some reason in the show I'm working on "Lit fog" is not an option listed along with "Beam on" and "Light on" in the object info palette. Anyone have any ideas what might be the problem or how to use lit fog with lighting instrument objects?

After some investigating I discovered that the lit fog feature is only usable with lighting instrument objects in the updates to VectorWorks 12.0 (VectorWorks 12.0.1 or 12.5). The updates are available on http://www.nemetschek.net.
