I know there is a thread for show pictures but I thought there might be some interesting Seachanger discussion so it might be good to start a new thread.
So we just closed the first show in the new black box "Anna in the tropics". I designed lights, designed/built the set... plus all the tables and the podium if you want to get really picky with credit. Here's the pre-show. 8 Seachanger profiles with 50 and 70 degree lens tubes using Rosco "Blobs" gobos doing I think Roscolux 03. ![]() Built that huge deck for one scene... but it looked nice. Rosco Medium Leaf Breakup gobos from Selecon's. The rest is PARnells with Roscolux 60 and 02 ![]() Here are the factory workers rolling cigars while they listen to the reading of "Anna Karenina". Seachanger Wash lights are doing downlight of Roscolux 02, Seachanger profiles with Rosco Blob gobos are now doing roscolux 06... but it's almost impossible to see in this particular scene. The show was done in a thrust or 3/4 configuration. The guy on the far left in this picture is "the lector" and the director had to place the podium about 4 feet from the audience. It was SO hard getting light on his face there without blinding the person sitting inches away. I'm disappointed, I did quite a bit of texture painting to the floor but it doesn't show in these photos (lot's of spray bottle fun!). We noticed after the show was running that my floor paint job looked a lot like a slice of bread from the control booth. You can sort of see why in this shot. ![]() Gambling at a "chicken" fight (the website won't let me use the real word)... got the down light Seachanger Wash lights doing Roscolux 318 overhead and the adjacent ones doing Roscolux 19

Continued because I can't post all the pictures in the same message...
The seduction scene... starts out with the Seachanger Wash doing Roscolux 34 (I think) with a few conventional Roscolux 60's around. ![]() Then just before they kiss we fade to just one Seachanger Wash down doing Roscolux 339... I couldn't get them to kiss for the photo... Lame!

Very nice. IIRC the Seachanger has an amber flag in it, so you can do more than the old HES Colormerge. Either way, a color mixer is always a nice tool to have.

I sort of described the plot in another thread. It's a thrust stage configuration. There is Roscolux 02 coming in from about 4:30 and 10:30 and Roscolux 60 coming in from 1:30 and 7:30. I put the Seachanger wash lights as Slightly back... down light. Then the Seachanger profiles came in at 3:00, 6:00, and 9:00 with the Rosco "Blobs" gobos. Four Inky's under the platform. Six PARNells to light the top of the platform. A few specials and it's done. About 70 instruments total in the rig. No fresnels in the plot... that palette didn't arrive in time.

Guess what I found yesterday in the ControlBooth FAQs? Avoid posting using all caps. IT LOOKS LIKE AND WILL BE INTERPRETED AS YOU ARE SHOUTING! Also, post using proper English spelling, grammar, and punctuation. It makes posts a lot easier to comprehend, and it represents you to the world. English shortcuts (neways, 2 instead of too, etc.) and slang in every other word may work for instant messaging, but it has no place at ControlBooth.com.
