Default dimming and other circuit symbols

does anyone know of a resource for dimming circuit symbols and any other theatrical symbols

This is going to depend highly on what kind of symbols you're looking for. Are you looking for certification and ratings, common Vectorworks symbols, warning labels, etc.... I would be the information is out there but a little more detail might help you get what you want

I own 4 lighting templates from a wide span of years. Each template has lots of little holes in it of similar shape that are labeled differently! There is some base unity for some of the more basic instruments, but beyond that it's the wild wild west! The only universal is that you should have a key on your chart showing what symbols represent what. I am not sure if lighting CAD software is any better, maybe someone else here can fill that in.

When you get into electrical schematic symbols, then things get a bit better, but to date I have seen 4 different schematic symbols used for triacs alone!
