In response to a couple Lightronics Dimmer Packs with bad dimmers:

If some of the channels are blown on or off, it was most likely caused
by foreign objects left in the chassis, or bad loads, both during the
installation process or due to a shorted lamp after installation.
Send them in to us and we will fix them. If, as you say it was always
this way and they were installed a year ago they are still under
warranty.
If you have someone who can do repairs, we can send the channel amps
that you need. Give us a call at your convenience to identify the
bad channels and the Serial Number of the unit.
